In our last Moon Mail, we took a look at the eclipse Full Moon in Gemini, and thought that a disruption would occur in Transportation and Communicational areas. Transportation and Communication are said to be the key words of Gemini. During an eclipse, when the light coming from the Sun has been blocked by the shadow of the Earth, we can expect an interruption of the flow. I felt that since the eclipse occurred before the Winter Solstice, this Geminian 'hit' would come at the end of the year, before the New Year commenced, and said so.
In a double-play on words, the Net Neutrality bill was passed by the FCC since the eclipse. It is permitting network providers to create a two-tiered system of access to speed and cost.
In spite of the bill's name, this is not net neutrality. It is the airwaves equivalent of Citizen's United, legislation that largely sold the last set of Congressional elections to the highest bidder. Now, the fastest and best of the Internet will be reserved for those who have the money and power to pay for it. Until yesterday, it was a level playing field; we all shared and shared alike, at least on the Internet. Freedom of speech, for big and for small, for rich and for poor. Of the people, by the people, for the people.
Only now it's of the corporations, by the corporations, for the corporations. This new law is good for AT & T and Verizon, not you and me.
Is this what the founding fathers had in mind when they signed the Declaration of Independence? The Revolutionary War was fought to break the financial ties with the central bank of England, run by the Crown. At the time we felt as though we were being manipulated.
No taxation without representation.
That was the last time Pluto was in Capricorn (1762-1778). England ran the show, and we were her colonies. As governmental policies hardened, resistance to the Crown grew. Pluto in Capricorn can represent death and rebirth of the governmental structure. We terminated our relationship with England and began again, anew, on our own. But it was not until Pluto was 9/10th of the way through Capricorn that this nation was born. Right now, we're still in the early stages of the cycle. Politically speaking with Pluto at five degrees of Capricorn (less than 20% of the way through the sign), we have a young adolescent entrepreneur on our hands, eager, spirited, and raring to go. Let me at that market, there's money to be made.
It really turns me on.
The financial powers (Pluto) behind the government (Capricorn) are leveraging control over the political system, the banking system, the stock market, our media, educational boards, health care system and anything else they can get their hands on or into. The American public is being unknowingly strapped into harnesses they do not want or need, manuvered like a school of fish into the waiting corporate nets.
As we looked to the eclipse prediction, we stipulated that this would be part of the old system winding down. The conditions suggested here a closing of the circle (29th or final degree of the sign), rather than any new major action which might herald the Dawn of the New Age, as some claimed. What we are seeing is the end of an era, in this case of the Internet as we have come to know it.
Understand that corporate power too must have its day, and that this is that day. Pallas, the Sun, North Lunar Node, Pluto, Mars and Ceres are all now making their way through Capricorn, explaining, in part, the cold and storms that have been raging. We discussed Europe in the Moon Mail, but New England has been hit as well. In Highland, California, a river of mud washed out thirty homes after half a year's worth of rain was dumped on them by a single storm in a few days.
The energies are gearing up, both politically and through Mother Nature. Pluto is a powerful Lord, and it will seek to re-create both God and the planet in its own image. What was predicted, over and over again in 2007, came to pass in 2008.
Pluto entered Capricorn, and the economic down-turn began with the housing market and spiraled out from there.
But Pluto (a 248-year cycle) is trumped by the Vernal Equinox (a 25,765-year cycle) moving into the alignment with the start of the New Age. Capricorn and Aquarius represent two diametrically opposite signs, not astronomically, but philosophically.
Pluto is moving in a more conservative direction. Right now it is in the driver's seat.
But when the Vernal Equinox initiates the Dawn of Aquarius (Omega Piscium, called 'lightning' by the Chinese) there will be a sudden shift that will unexpectedly come from out of the blue, radically altering the current social balance.
Freedom, and availability of what's on the Internet will return, but it must wait for the new currents to build. They are not slated to start for a couple of years, and even then, it will only be in seed form.
