The T Square

The T Square

Change is the nature of the game this week, as several planets switch signs, and with them, their vibration. First, the Sun leaves playful Leo to enter serious Virgo on Saturday. This sets the stage for several planets converging in the early cardinal signs on Wednesday.

There are two important issues at work here. First is the actual impact of mid-week, but secondarily, we are being given clues about the future, when heavier planets will occupy these same positions in 2010. The seeds are being sown now.

Mars leads the fray when it crosses the line and enters Cancer at 1:15 PM on Tuesday. A little over three hours later Mercury enters Libra at 4:19 PM. This sets up a T-square as Mars and Pluto oppose each other Wednesday evening, but not before Mercury squares both of them.

Cardinal signs tend to be active and confrontive. Mars is in its fall in Cancer, responding to affronts like a drunken sailor. Discussions will be heated about which is the correct path to follow as financial and other pressures come to the fore. There are power plays at work, whether they are being implemented or uncovered. Watch the news carefully. Venus adds its own seasoning to the brew by entering Leo and inconjuncting Pluto early (2:42 AM) Thursday morning. Together this mix makes for a more complex brew, but in general the energy level is going way up to a red alert.

On the positive side, this is a high amount of energy coming into focus. We can take on really big projects and move through muck that has been accumulating for extended periods of time. Pluto likes to dig into whatever is the problem and discover both its essence and power. Mercury squares Pluto, Mars opposes Pluto and Venus inconjuncts Pluto, all at zero degrees of their respective signs. This is energy just being born, but as is always the case with Pluto, some will not want to let go of the old ways, and will fight to maintain them.

Pluto covets power. On the flip side heads may roll. Money, sexuality, and authority are all on the table, and the seeds we sow now will have ramifications down the line. This will be true for both personal and governmental levels.

Most of the financial roller coaster ride we have witnessed over the last year and a half has been attributable to Pluto's entry into Capricorn. Government is attempting to re-write our financial and civil laws in a fashion more to their own liking, while giving the Fed additional powers in the process. The last time this cycle saw the light of day, our country declared its independence from the Motherland and broke away from King George and his system of taxation. We were revolutionaries, and proud of it.

The same controls are looking to be superimposed on us now, with the same long term results in the offering. There are thirty degrees in each of the signs of the zodiac. It was not until Pluto reached the 27th degree of Capricorn that the pattern became evident to our forefathers, and they pulled together to put a stop to it by creating a new country. Pluto is still in the first degree (called zero degrees in this system) of Capricorn, and so what we are seeing is still in its infancy, but should be evident to those with a discerning eye.
