He's Back!

On Wednesday, November 26th, 2008, Pluto re-entered Capricorn, and will remain in this sign until 2024. We'll have a while to digest events as they unfold in the media, but from our history this seems to be some of the pattern.

Pluto in Capricorn

Pluto in Capricorn

When this nation was born on the 4th of July, 1776, Pluto was in Capricorn in the 2nd house. Because Pluto is an outer planet, it 'falls' very slowly around the Sun, and is in a sign of the zodiac for extended periods. We could consider ourselves fortunate, because Pluto is 'falling faster' now because of where it is in its elliptical path. It took 31 years for Pluto to make it through Taurus, from 1853 to 1884. The physical and financial destruction of the South in the Civil War was part Pluto's power, material (Taurus- Earth), agricultural destruction. Sixteen years doesn't seem quite so long now, does it?

Because our country has Pluto in Capricorn, and because Pluto has now returned to Capricorn, we have a chance to delve deeper into the US soul and better understand ourselves as a nation as we bear witness to history unfolding. Like a hidden river, running silent and strong beneath the mountain, there are subterrainean currents at work.

Pluto in Capricorn is secretive, hidden forces, the roots of corporate and administrative power. But Pluto is also jointly controlled resources, such as credit, taxes, inheritance issues, and how the government makes money (US 2nd house).

The last time Pluto transited Capricorn (1762-1778), taxation on tea and other commodities was being charged, over protests, to the colonies. The existing status quo (Capricorn) tried to tighten (Capricorn) corporate controls, to squeeze finances through taxation (Pluto).

Focus on the government

Pluto scrutinizing government

The anger (Pluto) stirred by these administrative (Capricorn) measures infuriated many in the local populace, and the fuel of the resistance was born. Taxation (Pluto) by the government (Capricorn) turned into death (Pluto) of the royal connection (Capricorn) as we were willing to go it alone, severing political ties to England once and for all.

This is a microcosm to how Pluto in Capricorn played out last time. Pluto is focus, concentration, and a hidden power that works behind-the-scenes, running the show. It does not advertise, it does not campaign, but rather hides silently in the shadows, pulling the financial strings.

  Money talks.

We have watched the waves wash back and forth over these last few years, as Pluto in Sagittarius represented financial growth and abundant credit. As the WEB predicted throughout 2007, a more conservative atmosphere was coming down the pike starting in late January 2008 when Pluto first entered Capricorn. Because of retrograde motion, it backed into Sagittarius for a final sojourn through the summer, and has now re-entered Capricorn for the long haul. With this outline we will move from the celestial blackboard and watch what happens with the markets, GNP and to you and me.

Who would have thought that before the final transfer of power they'd empty out the pantry?

As stated previously, we won't see the connections through '08, but the links will be made apparent in '09. The Federal Reserve is pulling the strings, guiding these events. Let's watch and see. My call.
