"As East Germany eliminated the forbidden strip
known as "the death zone" along its western boarders, the People's Parliament yesterday elected a non-Communist as parliamentary president and the country's leading Communist reformer as the prime minister."
"Four days after the Berlin Wall and a guarded frontier were opened to the West, changes in this East bloc nation continued with a speed beyond all predictions. The wall and frontier divided East and West Germany for 28 years."
"The month-old government of Egon Krenz followed last week's dramatic wall opening with an announcement that the zone along the Berlin wall, as well as the 450-mile East-West German border would no-longer a forbidden territory."

The quote is lifted from the front page of the Boston Globe for Tuesday, November 14th 1989, and addresses events that occurred on Monday, November 13th, the date of the Full Moon that we had been talking about all year. More than any other nation in the world,

Germany represents the symbolic division of the East and West, and the use of the celestial currents at work in this manner at this time signals one of the greatest rays of hope for the future of the world we have yet seen.
In Europe, at least, the will of the people triumphed over the
securities (or insecurities) of tradition, regulations in the status quo. But as the dust of euphoria settles, the difficulty of the path before them will make itself known, both financially and otherwise. In retrospect, this period of time will be looked back upon as the period of the greatest spiritual awakening on the planet. People are now, more than at any other time, concerned about their brothers and sisters around the world. We now cheer the East Germans just as we cheered the students in Tianaman Square last spring, as though we knew them personally. A world consciousness is slowly coming into focus.
And in the US, we can see that our government is, by example, also setting the standard for freedom by adopting tough measures to get ready for the austere times that all the financial and celestial indicators predict, demonstrating the true fiber of their leadership and responsibility.
A unified Congress just voted themselves a 30% pay raise.
Even though we run the risk of repeating ourselves here, let's look one more time at what the Globe had to say for the 14th.
"Four days after the Berlin Wall and a guarded frontier were opened to the West, changes in this East bloc nation continued with a speed beyond all predictions. The wall and the frontier had divided East and West Germany for 28 years."
Well, maybe with a speed not beyond all predictions.... -Ed.
